The Swarm joined the Mid Continental Football League in 1994. the Swarm provide players with a professional opportunity while they complete degrees and / or begin their work careers. They continue to provide non-college bound players with a pathway toward paid-to-play professional football.

The Ohio Swarm is dedicated to community involvement. Players participate in community events such as Easter Seals Celebration, Youth for a Positive Image, we provide Christmas to children of abused women, we support DARE, the Big Brothers program, and help with tutoring to improve ACT and SAT scores. The Swarm takes great pride in their local community activities. they also conduct football and cheerleading youth camps during the preseason accompanied by NFL players extending their knowledge, experience and mentorship to our youth...our future leaders
